The Media and Criminal Proceedings...

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...0/lo_kpix/8939

Is this pissing anyone else off?

I'd like to take this story to aska question about the media's current role in criminal proceedings.

We can look to high-profile events such as celebrity trials [OJ, MJ], Winnona] and violent criminals [Peterson, every other murder trial in America] and wonder:

Does the media report on the circuses these criminal trials become because the people want to see the coverage, or do people want to see the media coverage because turns these criminal proceedings into circuses?
