UC Berkeley
Hi,
I'm looking at attending a conference at UCBerkeley in March. The conference hasn't posted anything about hotel deals. Is there a cheap/good hotel close to the University that people could recommend? Thanks, Zack Frazier

good and cheap tend not to go together in berkeley. for good hotels, i recommend the hotel durant (2 blocks from campus), the bancroft hotel (across the street), and the shattuck hotel. for cheap, i recommend the travelodge, super 8, and rodeway on university; they are not particularly close but they are easily accessible by public transit and are quite cheap. there are also hotels in emeryville, but that is a bit far if you don't have a car.
