Sure, FIAWOL may have been annoying to many members of the community, but the lack of substance does not warrant moderation (everyone has an ignore button). If you were to begin editing FIAWOL's posts for simply being obnoxious or annoying, it would not be too long before people would use the same justification to edit your posts.

Now, the mass deletion, on the other hand, is not a desirable quality - but I think we are already barred from deleting first posts since they delete threads. The only real change that you can make (besides banning all deletions) is to have a time limit on them. I know some forums have a policy/feature that prevents deletion of a post after some amount of time, whether seconds, minutes, or hours.
