A few times I & others have uploaded zip files so people can download result sheets, brackets, etc... Konrad posted a lot of info on the Pt. Loma Results thread that is very useful for the community.

However, with Firefox and Windows XP for some reason the extension is left off the download file. I'm not sure if this is something that needs to be changed on the message board but if it could be fixed that would be awesome.

One reason is that I'd really prefer to STOP having to print out result sheets at tournaments. If we have a 10 page result sheet X 50 schools that's a ream of paper (or at least 500 copies X $__ per copy) that could be avoided. Especially since few people actually read it or wouldn't mind just receiving an electronic copy.

Thanks,
Danny

This is the result of an unfortunate interaction between a "feature" of the most recent version of Firefox designed to squash unsafe behavior and the current server configuration. You'll notice it works fine in IE. Anyhow, to make a long story short I can't fix it without access to the server, although our server guru guy might be able to. In the meanwhile, there are two workarounds -- manually rename "download.php" to the correct name & extension, or post your file in the usual way and have me edit your post with a direct-link to the file.

thanks patrick. feel free to add in the direct link to my posts. I imagine at NPD A this year we'll be posting zip fip. I highly doubt anyone would mind better access to the file they uploaded =)
