Ive come up with 2 possible conclusions. Either Jed wants to see how much he can manipulate our lives by making us compete. Or Jed wanted to show off the little clock thing he learned how to put in the upper left hand corner. What does evertone else think?

While I may not understand Musher's surely astute analysis, given it's repeated endorsement by the most witty, Jed (Musher, 2000), I must defer to what her take might be on his intentions in impressing us: Jed . . .always trying to make a play . . . is "trying to make a play," . . . with the eventual goal of sexual connection . . . Jed has the higher status, which he is trying to maintain . . . but . . . he better run for cover . . . as . . . Jed's body . . . is seen . . . to . . . demonstrate his "geekiness"
