Before i knew my daughter was going to be just that the names for a boy we came up with were, Ryan, and hell thats the only one we can remember. Unless that is something you like id say your name picked is pretty damn cool.
zack
We chose not to find out the sex of my second daughter so we had the name Elijah lined up just in case.
Robert is also a very cool name and it carries a great deal of credibility in the debate circuit.

Go with a Scandanavian Hockey player's name. That way noone will be able to spell it, or pronounce it(except that guy on Hockey Night in Canada). I like Saku Koivu (sounds profane, French would hate it), or Timo(spelling?)... If that doesn't work, I was reserving Shithead, but you could use it.

most of my favorite guy names are so common that it seems like everyone has them (i.e., David, Justin, Kevin, Kyle, etc.) but some (more) offbeat ones I like: Austin, Corbin, Devon, Drew, Geoff, Trey.
