Bartending School

I'm seriously thinking about going to a bartending school here in LA. It costs $400 and lasts a week, but I think that I'll be able to make that money back pretty quick, and bartending would be a great job to have during school.

Does anyone have any experience bartending that they'd be willing to share, or more specifically with bartending school? Is it worth the money and time? Is the pay worth the job?

I've known three people who've all been quite happy with bartending school-they get trained quickly, and the bartending school usually has affiliate businesses who are eager to employ freshly trained bartenders. You just have to come up with the $400 up front for the course. It's the best way to get training as a bartender if you don't already have it.
