I'm Brian Shipley, somewhat of an "independent consultant" at Willamette University for the last three semesters--competed there as a student until December 1996. Since then, I've helped run the NPDA Championship Tournament and the Willamette Summer Debate Workshop in a variety of capacities. My biggest regret in life is that the night I spent with Zacarias Lampitok didn't quite last until sunrise. :)

Hi, I'm ML (that's Mary Lynn Veden-pronounced Vuh-deen, no matter what our DOF says) one of the many lovely assistants from Lewis & Clark in the even lovelier city of Portland. I'm highly suspicious of e-forums and technology in general, but this seems mostly harmless...I coach IE's and a bit of parli, since the division of labor is not a clear one on our team. I also judge it a lot. My hobbies are threats and vendettas, (mostly to members of my team) and cutting Soviet absurdist plays and Frank Capra films into Reader's Theater programs. I also enjoy Cooking, er I mean, Kooking with Kyle. :cool:

I along with Lyn am a member of the APU team. I am a freshman this year. I used to debate Policy and even some LD when I was in High school in Bakersfield (hence the LB in the name). And yes to put all questions to rest I get made fun of for being from Bakersfield. Sadly unlike Lyn I will not use Bono in each one of my rounds Jimmy and I would much rather sing! To date we have sung about Batman, Missions that are Impossible and even one about Nukes. Now that I have shared far more information than anybody wanted I think I will go and stop posting for sometime.
