zizek just finished giving a lecture here at berkeley...argued how gilles deleuze is a 'castrated' hegelian philosopher...pretty good stuff. the post-lacanians are in full force these days...your thoughts on zizek??

I personally find that many "pomo" personalities predicate thier arguements on the basis of calling each other idiots with all the wit and grace of a special-ed highschool poetry slam contest.
Part of why I like them so damn much.

yea, not only did i see him but he spit on me...he got way too excited how deleuze is 'castrated'. the funny part was that he referred to the cheshire cat and the phallus in the same sentence...which almost beat when he said that deleuze was an anal philosopher in that he attacks other philosophers 'from behind'.

I wanna see a zizek lecture :-( I just finished "Welcome to the desert of the real" and am starting "The Fragile Absolute". When I was ordering some books on amazon.com i saw that Zizek has a book coming out in December on Deluze, so i bet his lecture was pretty cool.
