It's about that time of year again folks.

Here's how it's going to work.

If you are interested in being a moderator of this forum, please post a reply to this thread laying out your moderation policy. You MUST list a policy as per the Moderation Policy, even if that policy is "I will never moderate what you say."

People have until Monday, April 27th at 8 pm EDT, to post their intent to run.

If two or fewer people have nominated themselves by the 27th, they will be declared the winner. If more than two people announce an intent to run, then voting will take place until 8 pm EDT, on Monday, May 4th. PM all votes to user "Elections".

Best of luck.

i'll run for moderator again, since i enjoyed doing it last year

my mod policy:

corax/tisias posts will be approved or deleted quickly. anonymous personal attacks from corax/tisias will not be tolerated. if you're not sure if your post is appropriate, you're welcome to IM or PM me and i will let you know what i think; i will protect your confidentiality if you choose to do so.

i will moderate posts from registered users, in addition to corax/tisias, if they include: slander; libel; true threats; defamation; copyright infringement; or information that presents a serious and material threat to debate programs or people involved in debate (examples: "[coach] was found passed out drunk on someone's floor"; "[judge] sexually harassed me at the last tournament"; "[team] is cheating and making up evidence in the middle of rounds"). i have only deleted one post for any of these reasons.

otherwise you can post what you want :)

1) Will either of you be able to commit time to administative activities during some of peak periods of the season? This might include during the weeks up to and during NPDA.
a) If so, what means will you have to be able to better ensure you can be able to do moderating work? Will you have access to a laptop, pc, internet, etc.?

Is there anybody who will not be competing at National Tournaments this year who would feels they could be up to the task of being a moderator?

My policy:

Pretty laissez-faire. If people complain about the content of things via PM, I'll address it.

There's a three way race between Smitty, Kern and CommStud52.

Please PM votes to "elections" by next Monday.
