Below please find a copy of the ULM/LIFA invite. This is an OPEN tournament so
schools outside of Louisiana are invited and encouraged to attend. If you have
any questions you can email me at amyveuleman@yahoo.com or kathy owens at
kowens@ulm.edu. We hope that you can join us in February in Monroe. Besides, you
can only get really good King Cakes for Mardi Gras in Louisiana :)

Lousiana Intercollegiate Forensics Association

Dear Forensics Colleagues:
On behalf of the University of Louisiana at Monroe, the Department of
Communication, and the ULM Speech and Debate Forum, I invite you to compete in
the 2003 Spring Bicker Debate and Individual Events Tournament February 7-9,
2002. This date is a change from the date originally scheduled because of a
conflict with Louisiana State University’s tournament. I hope your team will be
able to attend despite the short notice on the date change.
This tournament will also serve as the Louisiana Intercollegiate Forensics
Association (LIFA) state championships. As such, we will offer parliamentary
debate, IPDA, CEDA, LD and all AFA-NIET sanctioned events. Should CEDA make, we
will adjust the timing of the schedule for those rounds.
All entries must be received by Tuesday, February 4, 2003, at 4:00 PM. They may
be emailed to kowens@ulm.edu or faxed to 318-342-1422. Late fees will be
charged for any changes after Wednesday.
We prefer your judges to your money. If you do not think you will be able to
cover your entry, please let me know as soon as you can.
Call us if you need any further information. My office number is 318-342-1462,
my home number is 318-248-4188, and my cell number is 318-680-3627. We look
forward to seeing you in February.
Sincerely,
Kathy Owens Amy Veuleman
