Hey all,
Now that it's closer to camp, I wondered who was going to Willamette, and how many people all the schools are sending. We at CSULB are sending 11 debators and an instructor.

Wow, I'm one of what can be described as a mob of debators from Long Beach... Crazy... I'm used to being 1 of 2...

enough of this wagering, i mean it made certain people act really really pathetic

Zack,
1) You're just jealous of Kristine and I each winning two bets and your not getting in on the action.
2) You should have learned more from Dr. Trapp's lecture on causation: I'm not so sure that the wagering was the cause of how pathetic folks are, but rather is merely a perfect reflection of it. That is, the kind of camp pathetic-ness to which you are referring long pre-dated the work of John, The Bookie.
-Brian ;) ;) ;)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but only two people won bets all week? That seems kinda sad... maybe the rest of us ought to take some tips? Any suggestions?

The reference to Gavin is that of the bets Brian won, 100% of them dealt with Gavin.

I don't want to contradict the bookie, but did anyone ever follow up on that one to confirm it?
And I won at least one.

The official records are what matter, and yes, Cori you missed out on what was probably the most confirmed result in the betting. I'm curious which bet Brian N. won . . . though he should backchannel me if he wants to share.

Brian Shipley seems to think that his one bet is confirmed but from my location I am still skeptical. I think some one needs to confirm the results. I know for a fact that Krisitne's and Brian's bets are confirmed but I am not sure about the others
Gavin499

OK What needs to be confirmed? This all seems very mysterious... and I'm sure there is an appropriate face thingy to put here... shifty eyes and the like, but I'm too lazy to go find it... And how am I the source of TWO bets? Am I unaware of one... I guess that's possible...

John, were you asleep on the ground at the time? It looked pretty confirmed to the rest of the 12 or so of us in the audience.
Gavin, don't worry, my second win involving you does less to incriminate you than to demonstrate your innocence. ;)
Everyone, next time you are in Poland, trust me, you want to try "Zubrowka" (a special kind of Polish Vodka flavored with the grass that bison eat in one particular forest), either straight, or with "Sok" (fruit juice, usually apple). <img src=http://www.net-benefits.net/emoticons/drooling.gif ALT=":drool">

I was definitely awake at that point. although the concrete was quite comfortable. I still think that our view was obstructed by the tree and it was dark
Zack
see you should thank me for not letting you bet it was for your own good.

OK Well it's swell that the other bet is less incriminating, but I think it's only fair that I know what it was. I can't possibly influence the result of it now, so... where's the harm?
Gavin
There are bison in Poland?
I need to get out more.....

Gavin,
Why don't you ask the bookie? He's really the only one liscenced to give out information on the bets.
Audrey :)
P.S. and john was sooo passed out, I even have photographic evidence!

Listen I was just a little sleepy thats all.
oh and I would also like to official recognize NGM as another winner. No one seems to have brought up the fact he won a bet. In response to me telling bets, i dont think that the bookie is allowed to reveal it. The only time I have revealed it in the past was when I was told to do so.
