What School Competed at: Lewis & Clark

Making Decisions: '--My decision is based solely on how the debaters argue I should decide; I avoid using my own decision-making philosophy as much as possible. When left to put the round back together and decide why someone wins because the round is utter confusion i revert to any means necessary. '

Decision-making Approach: '--I focus on comparison (the government just needs to show their case is stronger than their opponents) '

Assessing Arguments: 'Dropped arguments matter most when you make them matter. I have yet to find 50% of the arguments called "dropped" by the opposing team to have actually been "dropped" they were either ignored or not heard so try to be pretty damn certain about this. I like a combination of line by line and bg picture. (Wouldn t big picture just be the end reult of a lot of line by line all put together?)'

Presentational Aspects: 'I like the idea of creating your own pronoun.'

Strong Viewpoints: 'I ve never really liked children. I don t know anything about relgion and am afraid of it. Who wants to get married anyway? I don t think any of these things predisposition me to voting one way or the other. It may be helpful to know whcihc is what I think the question is really asking. If you really need to know my politics ask me or ask around.'

Cases, DAs, CPs, Ks, T, etc.: 'Res of "Facts" are kind of strange. I think they are great in theory but it has been a rare debate where this has resulted in a clear decision. Most often I ve watched as the "purists" (the people in our region who try to hold us back) smile as they push their agenda and try to force debaters into arguing a Res. of "Fact" The end result? --Confusion chaos and Josh and Rachel s latest Politics DA impact. (I was so mad after the Linfield resolutions that I actually went and drilled in ANWR myself)'

Other Items to Note: 'I have a high threshold for topicality as I think most people do. I don t believe a criticism needs an alternative. I dislike counterplans given in the last minute of a constructive. I fear that NPTE leads to people trying to debate like someone they are not. I also fear people read critics the wrong way for this tournament. Mutual Preference judging is sexist and racist. '
