UW will have one position open in fall 2003 for a graduate student coaching position. The chosen candidate will receive a tuition waiver and a healthy
stipend to complete a two-year Masters degree within our Communication and Journalism department. While teaching opportunities are available for extra money in the summmer, no teaching is required during the debate season.
Such a candidate will co-coach, judge, and help with team administration while working hard in our competitive, but compassionate, department. Our
faculty includes media and popular culture critics, hard-journalism experts, persuasion and comm. science theorists, performance studies, public relations, etc. It's a small, diverse, supportive department.
If you're interested, please contact me through this email address, and include your name, snail mail address and phone number. I will forward all information to Dr. Michael Brown, director of graduate studies in our
department.
